Legends warm up course ahead of Australia’s richest one day Pro-Am
Wynnum’s weather turned it on for the annual Bartons/BMD Legends Pro-Am which was held on Monday 22 August at the Wynnum Golf Club.
Attended by local businesses, BMD and Bartons and many long-standing valued sponsors, along with 60 golf pros, the event was an exciting precursor to the Bartons/BMD Pro-Am which will be held on 28 November. As Australia’s richest one day Pro-Am, to reflect the centenary of Wynnum Golf Club, the event has committed to a record $100,000 purse.
Current leader of the SParms PGA Legends Tour Order of Merit, Andre Stolz proved strongest on the day at this year’s Legends Pro-Am, his victory which was achieved in part due to his return to his old Odyssey White Hot Mid putter, a club which was purchased 20 years ago and not used for the past four months.
Our local community can too be winners by entering Wynnum Golf Club’s LVTong Golf Cart raffle. Donated by Bartons and BMD, the $13,000 golf cart raffle is part of the Wynnum Golf Club’s centenary celebrations, with all proceeds going directly back into the club. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by visiting raffletix.com.au/centenaryraffle2022.
